Tridymite

$30.00

Seigler Canyon-Lake County- California

Tridymite is a rare type of silica (SiO₂) crystal that forms at high temperatures, usually in volcanic rocks. It often appears as thin, white or colorless crystals and is similar to quartz but much less common.

Fun Fact:

Tridymite is relatively rare on Earth but has been detected on Mars by NASA’s Curiosity rover, sparking interest about past volcanic activity and the possibility of water on Mars.
